UPS Germany - Some Facts and Numbers

UPS came to Germany back in 1976, the company´s German operation being the first one outside the USA.

UPS Germany is mainly divided into two different companies: UPS Transport (mainly the feeder drivers) and UPS Inc. (the rest of the operation). Of course you also find SCS, UPS capital and so on in Germany.

UPS Germany has about 15.000 employees. A significant part of the UPS-workforce in Germany has an immigrant background. Among the major groups of immigrant empoyees are colleagues of Turkish, ex-Yugoslavian, African and US origin.

Besides our own drivers, the company is using an increasing number of ´brown´ subcontractors for package delivery. Mostly those guys are overworked and badly paid.
